Suriya Music Center in Pattaya  is laid on  the famous Pattaya beautiful beach which attracts many tourits, as well as numerous students by its unique creative design.

The sights along the music center was decorated  in exotic retro style and highlighted by the biggest acoustic guitar and  ukulele in the world. You can also climb inside the giant guitar to enjoy the the landscape outside through the strings.

The shopping store inside was also designed in retro style, you will be dazzled by all the various instruments (guitar, piano, speaker…) made in Europe, Japan. Suriya not only brings you the best music instruments but also a place for you to buy some potteries, retro decorations, clothings, handbags, sports equipment, jewelerys, interior decorations made in Japan, Europe, Thailand, Myanmar. Approximately 70% of the items on display are new  and 30% of them are used and sold with appropriate prices.

On 14^th,  Octorber 2015, SEA Guitar formally established diplomatic relations with Thailand Guitar Society in Bangkok – Thailand. SEA Guitar representatives had cordial meetings with representatives of Thailand Guitar Society (TGS) – Mr. Worratep (founder and president of TGS) and Mr. Ai (Music composer lecturer of the Faculty of Music, Chulalongkorn University).

Representatives of two schools have discussed and agreed the plans for cultural exchanges between the students of the academies, organize guitar festival, promoting several awards to encourage people to learn classical guitar.

Thailand Guitar Society (TGS) is the trustable and prestige guitar society in Thailand which has many experienced and prestige guitarists. Thailand Guitar Society’s professor representative:

Leon Koudelak (1961) is Czech classical guitarist. He has toured internationally in most parts of Europe, Asia and the America. He is also the co-founder of the Liechtenstein Guitar Festival (Ligita), the Asia International Guitar Festival (AIGF) in Bangkok and the Pattaya Classical Guitar Festival.

Woratep Rattana-umpawan (1969 – Bangkok) is Thailand classical guitarist. He is the founder of the Thailand Guitar Society and the Asia International Guitar Festival, Bangkok. Woratep is the first famous Thailand classical guitarist (accredited internationally) who has performed at many International Guitar Festivals. He set great influence on the younger Thailand guitarists.

During the mission to establish relationships with leading music-education institutes in Thailand, SEA Guitar representatives had a meeting with representatives of ROCKADEMY.

On 14^th Octorber 2015, at the ROCKADEMY, Bangkok – Thailand, Mr. Nguyen Anh Tuan (CEO of SEA Guitar) and Mr. Chomthawat Yongkittikul (Founder and CEO of Rock Academy) had cordial meeting to discuss about ideas and plans for coordinating and implementing co-operation in the next 2 years. Some scopes of co-operation  are, to name a few,the participation of Rock artists in the region and international; organizing ASEAN Rock Tour for students from both schools for cultural exchanges and  experience a new learning method: learning from professional performance.

ROCKADEMY is a performance based music school, for students aged 7 and up. They focus on rock music with the belief that it can be an excellent educational tool to brighten up kids’ positive attitude and polish their self-confidence. Students will learn guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, and vocals in ROCKADEMY 101 & get to play together in bands with ROCKADEMY LIVE! . An innovative curriculum and our unique teaching method set us apart from other music schools. The principal of the school is based on the belief that the best way to learn to do almost anything is by doing it, and this is particularly true about music. We teach and perform music that our students love to play and our audiences love to hear. From the fundamental roots of rock and roll through classic rock, funk, blues, reggae, heavy metal, alternative, indie, progressive – they celebrate them all.

Chomthawat Yongkittikul, aka Pat, founded the influential Thai alternative rock band ‘Barbies’ in 1995. He joined the legendary GMM GRAMMY’s producer team ‘RPG’ (Rewat’s Producer Group) in 1997, then moved to NYC to pursue an MBA degree. Pat eventually returned to his old arena in the recording studio for production works at NYC’s legendary ‘Wax Music Studio’ – where world-class musicians with the likes of Ron Carter, Jon Cobert, Will Lee, Ira Siegel, ext. Pat come home to Thailand in 2006. While vacationing with an old band mate, Apirat Techavachara or ‘Sig’ the bassist from Barbies, the very idea for Thailand’s first school of rock was kicked off. Pat and Sig decided to play seriously with the thought and thus, ROCKADEMY was born in 2012.

Apirat Techavachara, as know as Sig. He was drawn to rock music and joined Barbie as its bassist from 1996-2001. Two years later after graduating with a Master in Music Entertainment Business from New York University, he became a Project Manager for Bakery Music under BMG Music Entertainment, and later joined Sony BMG Entertainment as A&R Manager. For Apirat, this venture began with his love for music combined with his determination to stand out differently in the music industry. With his life-long dream realized, this rocking daddy anticipates more excitement to come at ROCKADEMY.

14/10/2015, tại học viện ROCKADEMY, Bangkok – Thailand, thầy Nguyễn Anh Tuấn và ông Chomthawat Yongkittikul (thường được gọi thân mật là Mr. Pat) đã cùng nhau bàn bạc ý tưởng, kế hoạch phối hợp thực hiện buổi hòa nhạc trong 2 năm tới, với sự tham gia của các nghệ sĩ Rock trong khu vực và quốc tế, tổ chức ASEAN Rock Tour cho học viên hai trường giao lưu văn hóa và học hỏi lẫn nhau.

Giới thiệu về ROCKADEMY

ROCKADEMY là học viện âm nhạc về rock đầu tiên tại Thái Lan, được thành lập vào năm 2012, dành cho học sinh tuổi từ 7 trở lên. Dựa trên quan điểm nhạc rock là một công cụ giáo dục tuyệt vời để khơi dậy thái độ tích cực và tăng cường sự tự tin của trẻ em, ROCKADEMY tập trung vào thế mạnh đào tạo thể loại nhạc Rock. Học viên sẽ được học guitar, bass, trống, keyboard, và thanh nhạc tại ROCKADEMY 101 hoặc chơi cùng nhau trong ban nhạc với ROCKADEMY LIVE!. ROCKADEMY luôn hướng đến chương trình học sáng tạo và phương pháp giảng dạy độc đáo so với những trường âm nhạc khác. Từ gốc rễ căn bản của rock & roll qua classic rock, funk, blues, reggae, metal, indie, progressive, học viện đều mang đến những bài học tốt nhất cho học viên.

Nhà sáng lập ROCKADEMY

Chomthawat Yongkittikul, còn được gọi với tên Pat, là người đã thành lập nên ban nhạc “Barbies” có sức ảnh hưởng lớn đến nền âm nhạc Thái Lan những năm 1995. Ông đã từng tham gia vào đội RPG (Rewat’s Producer Group) thuộc công ty sản xuất âm nhạc GMM GRAMMY, trước khi ông chuyển đến New York, Mỹ để lấy bằng MBA. Tại New York, Pat có nhiều cơ hội để tiếp cận với nền công nghiệp sản xuất âm nhạc hiện đại, của những nghệ sĩ đẳng cấp thế giới Ron Carter, Jon Cobert, Will Lee, Ira Siegel… Pat trở về Thái Lan vào năm 2006. Sau chuyến đi nghỉ cùng các thành viên cũ của nhóm Barbies, Chomthawat Yongkittikul và Apirat Techavachara đã nghỉ ra một ý tưởng lớn chính là thành lập học viện âm nhạc chuyên sâu về Rock tại Thái Lan.

Apirat Techavachara, còn được gọi là Sig, tay chơi Bass của nhóm Barbies những năm 1996 -2001. Sig nhận bằng Thạc sĩ ngành Kinh doanh Âm nhạc giải trí của đại học New York, Mỹ và trở thành nhà quản lý dự án cho Bakery Music thuộc công ty BMG. Với nền tảng kiến thức sâu rộng và kinh nghiệm trong lĩnh vực sản xuất âm nhạc, cộng với những trải nghiệm tại New York, Sig luôn mong muốn mang những chương trình giảng dạy mới mẻ, tiến bộ để truyền tải đến trẻ em và người lớn tại Thái Lan.

Two years later after graduating with a Master in Music Entertainment Business from New York University, he became a Project Manager for Bakery Music under BMG Music Entertainment, and later joined Sony BMG Entertainment as A&R Manager.
